Flu shots starting earlier this year in Alabama because of 2009 swine flu outbreak
MONTGOMERY -- The state Department of Health is getting an early jump on the flu season, which claimed the lives of 53 Alabamians in 2009. Dr. Jim McVay, director of health promotion and chronic disease, said today that vaccinations are already beginning at some chain pharmacies around Alabama.
